New ICT and Digital Economy CS William Kabogo Calls for Unity and Support for President Ruto

Newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo, has called on residents of the Mountain region to set aside their growing hostility towards President William Ruto.

Speaking at his Ruiru home in Kiambu County during a Sunday service at PCEA Murera Church, Kabogo acknowledged the existing disconnect between the government and the locals, but urged them to embrace President Ruto for the sake of regional and national development.

Kabogo expressed concern over the increasing refusal by locals to listen to President Ruto’s speeches, pointing out that this hostility could hinder the timely implementation of important development projects in the area.

He emphasized that such negative sentiments would only delay progress and negatively impact the region’s growth.

“Let us put aside our differences and focus on what truly matters—the development of our region and the nation as a whole,” Kabogo stated.

He further urged the residents to support the President’s leadership, as continued hostility could derail critical projects that are crucial for the welfare of the Mountain region.

Kabogo’s plea comes at a time when the relationship between the region and the national government remains strained.

His call for unity reflects a growing concern that political tensions could obstruct development efforts and affect the region’s ability to benefit from government initiatives.
