DCI Orders Philip Aroko to Surrender in MP Were chilling Murder probe

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued a directive for politician and businessman Philip Nahashon Aroko to surrender to the nearest police station immediately.

Aroko has been declared a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into the brutal murder of Hon. Charles Ong’ondo Were.

In a public appeal, the DCI stressed that compliance with the order is mandatory.

The agency also urged members of the public with any information on Aroko’s whereabouts to come forward.

“Anyone with information is urged to report to the nearest police station or call our toll-free numbers: 999, 112, or #FichuaKwaDCI at 0800 722 203. All reports will be handled in strict confidence,” the DCI stated.

The murder of MP Were shocked the nation last week, prompting an intensified probe now turning its spotlight on high-profile figures.

So far four suspects are in custody under investigation into the chilling murder of the MP in Nairobi after he was trailed by a gunman in a motorcycle who shot him over six times killing him.

The JKIA has since allowed the four suspects including an officer pending conclusion of the probe.
