A church minister has been charged before a Nairobi court with stealing Ksh 23 million meant for the Word of Life Centre Church ministry.
Daniel Bushebi Munalo appeared before Milimani Magistrate Dolphina Alego, where he denied charged four counts related to the alleged theft leveled against him by the prosecution.
The prosecution claims that Munalo, between 2019 and 2021, unlawfully obtained the substantial sum from the church’s funds, an accusation that has shocked the local community.
The magistrate granted Munalo bail, setting the amount at Ksh 2 million, along with a requirement to provide one contact person.
Alternatively, he was allowed to post a bond of Ksh 10 million, with one surety.
Magistrate Alego scheduled the matter for mention on March 25, 2025 for pre-trial.
