Days after Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has reshuffled his Cabinet and re-assigned Chief Officers, the move has caused trouble in the brewing at the County Assembly
A section of Members of the Assembly are calling upon the governor to nullify the appointment of Sankaire Tima as Chief Officer for Finance & Economic Planning, due to significant concerns regarding the nominee’s alleged professional conduct, revenue performance, audit reports, and interpersonal skills.
According to the House Majority Leader, John Loisa, the call is made in the best interest of the county’s financial health and governance.
In a motion moved by Loisa who is also the Dalalekutuk Member of the County Assembly (MCA), the nominee has allegedly repeatedly failed to comply with County Assembly procedures and has shown a lack of cooperation in financial matters, leading to frustration and inefficiency.
”Numerous audit queries were raised during his tenure, including unsupported county revenue, non-compliance with revenue,”Loisa says
The county boss made the changes this week stating that his moved is meant to streamline service delivery during his second term legacy building.
