police have arrested 38 individuals connected to a series of violent attacks targeting members of the public along Thika Highway, Waiyaki Way, and Jogoo Road during President Ruto’s recent Nairobi tour.
Among those apprehended are Albert Otieno and Delcon Musumba, who was notably wearing an Arsenal jersey, as shown in the photo above.
These suspects are among a larger group now in custody expected to face charges related to robbery with violence and other crimes in court on Monday.
During the operation, detectives seized seven motorcycles, believed to have been used in the attacks, as well as several mobile phones that were stolen from victims.
These items have been confiscated as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
The suspects will remain in custody until their court appearance on Monday, where they will be formally arraigned and face a range of serious charges, including robbery with violence, preparation to commit a felony, and obstruction of justice.
In addition to the 38 arrested, police are working relentlessly to track down more individuals linked to the attacks, ensuring they are brought to justice swiftly.
The public is urged to remain vigilant as the investigation continues.
