Sakaja’s Administration completes renovation of Mbotela Stadium

The County Government of Nairobi has completed the construction of Mbotela Stadium, bringing a modern sporting facility to the residents of Makadara Constituency.

The stadium is part of Governor Johnson Sakaja’s sports infrastructure agenda aimed at nurturing, developing, and supporting sports in Nairobi while also promoting community development.

It features a standard playing pitch, new spectator stands, proper drainage, and improved accessibility, making it a safe and vibrant space for football, athletics, and other community events.

The completion of Mbotela Stadium marks a significant milestone in ensuring that every ward and constituency has access to quality sporting infrastructure.

It not only gives young people a platform to showcase and grow their talents but also provides the community with a recreational hub that enhances social cohesion.

In addition to Mbotela, more stadiums are being developed across the city, including Woodley Sports Ground in Kibra, Kihumbuini in Kangemi, and the ongoing renovation of Joe Kadenge Stadium (formerly City Stadium) among others, further strengthening Nairobi’s position as the home of sporting talent.
