In a remarkable display of commitment to supporting uniformed officers and their families, Her Excellency Dorcas Rigathi, the spouse of the former Deputy President, presided over the Second Annual Uniformed Officers Mass Wedding in 2024.
The event, which took place in Nairobi on Saturday November 16,2024 , saw 84 couples from various branches of the security forces – including the Kenya Police Service (KPS), Administration Police Service (APS), Kenya Prisons (KP), Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and Kenya Forest Service (KFS) – exchange matrimonial vows.
This year’s mass wedding marked a significant increase compared to the inaugural event in 2023, where only 32 couples had participated.
The expansion of the program is a testament to the growing support from Her Excellency Dorcas Rigathi, who has been at the forefront of this initiative, working in collaboration with the Uniformed Services Chaplaincy Directorate.
