Fahad Ibrahim Mohamed, an employee of Beyt Properties Limited, found himself in the spotlight after being arraigned before a Nairobi court on charges of obtaining goods by false pretenses.
The case, which has attracted widespread attention, unfolded at the Milimani Law Courts before Magistrate Dolphina Alego.
The prosecution alleges that Mohamed, between May 26 and July 20, 2024, fraudulently obtained 307 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete from Alliance Concrete Limited, valued at a staggering Ksh 3,923,564.
The concrete, categorized as C30 and C25 grades, was reportedly secured under the pretense of a future payment that, according to the charges, Mohamed never intended to fulfill.
The accused, who appeared in court this morning, denied all the charges leveled against him.
Despite his plea of innocence, the severity of the accusations has cast a shadow on his professional conduct, especially given the significant financial value involved.
Consequently,Magistrate Alego granted Mohamed bail, setting his bond at Ksh 1 million, or an alternative cash bail of Ksh 700,000.
