Key leaders from Kenya’s public and private sectors convened at the Nairobi Serena Hotel for a Media Roundtable on Enabling the Business Environment, aimed at reinforcing efforts to improve the country’s investment climate.
The event was addressed by John Mwendwa, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest); Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, Principal Secretary for Investment Promotion; Dr. Chris Kiptoo, Principal Secretary for the National Treasury; and Caroline Kariuki, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).
Speaking during the roundtable, the leaders emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in implementing reforms that reduce the cost of doing business, enhance investor confidence, and promote sustainable economic growth.
The forum served as a platform to deliberate on ongoing and proposed measures to streamline regulatory frameworks, improve service delivery, and ensure policy consistency all aimed at attracting and retaining both domestic and foreign investment.
The officials reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with the private sector to create a competitive, transparent, and inclusive investment environment.
